Tomamos conhecimento de depoimento de alguém próxima à Romântica Lingerie e por esse motivo estamos publicando essa matéria a fim de informar nossas clientes sobre um mal que acomete a muitas mulheres, mas por falta de informação acaba se agravando por receber um tratamento inadequado.

Tudo isso que sinto sofri desde a adolescência (já passei dos 30 anos): falta de energia, ansiedade, stress… Perdi amizades, trabalho… Tomo há muito tempo medicamentos controlados. Mas há quase 2 meses recebi o diagnóstico de Transtorno Disfórico Pré Menstrual (TDPM).

Sempre pensei e ouvi que o que eu tinha era depressão, mas não é. Mas eu percebia que eu tinha uma depressão diferente, pois eu não ficava por um tempo longo mal no meu quarto, meu sofrimento era apenas na fase pré-menstrual.

Quantas vezes eu fui e outras mulheres também já foram chamadas de loucas? Nós não somos! Precisamos apenas de um tratamento e ele existe.

1. Como identifico que eu tenho um transtorno disfórico pré menstrual?
[Psicóloga Eliene Oliveira] O transtorno disfórico pré menstrual é marcado por um impacto significativo no período de aproximadamente 1 semana que antecede a chegada da menstruação e em alguns dias após sua chegada. Percebemos os impactos na vida das mulheres da seguinte maneira:

  • Emocional: choro, tristeza, irritabilidade, avaliação negativa de si, ansiedade, etc;
  • Funcional: menor desempenho no trabalho, nos estudos e em resultados que deva entregar;
  • Social: conflitos podem surgir devido as alterações emocionais.

Sendo assim, se difere da Síndrome Pré Menstrual (que é a mais comum), na qual a intensidade dos sintomas não representa um prejuízo tão acentuado, mesmo diante de uma mudança de humor.
O diagnóstico do transtorno disfórico pré menstrual deve ser realizado por um profissional (psiquiatra, ginecologista, psicólogo) e é apropriadamente
confirmado por dois meses de avaliação dos sintomas, no qual se utilizam escalas para monitoramento diário.

Esse é um passo muito importante para que haja o diagnóstico correto, visto que os sintomas que são referentes a esse transtorno podem estar relacionados a outros como depressão, ansiedade e transtornos de personalidade. Sendo assim, apenas um profissional poderá realizar o diagnóstico a fim de dar início ao tratamento correto.

2. Qual é o tratamento?
[Psicóloga Eliene Oliveira] Para cada caso será avaliado pelo profissional qual o tratamento mais adequado de acordo com a intensidade dos sintomas. Neste caso, o uso de medicamentos antidepressivos, como a Fluoxetina, pode contribuir de modo significativo no controle dos sintomas. Seu uso pode ser contínuo ou intermitente (iniciando aproximadamente 10 dias antes da menstruação e interrompido após a chegada da mesma).

Aliar o tratamento medicamentoso com a psicoterapia é muito importante, pois enquanto o medicamento permite uma regulação fisiológica dos sintomas,a psicoterapia contribui para a inserção de comportamentos e respostas mais funcionais nesse período a fim de auxiliar no enfrentamento mais efetivo, como: lidar com a auto-exigência, aprimorar o autoconhecimento, criar um cronograma de tarefas que permita atenuar os impactos no período crítico, responder aos pensamentos negativos e improdutivos característicos, etc.

Outros métodos comuns de tratamento incluem os contraceptivos orais, analgésicos, mudança no estilo de vida e alimentação (atividade física, restrição de alimentos específicos nesse período e dieta alimentar mais saudável), vitaminas, sais minerais e ansiolíticos.

3. É possível levar uma vida normal a partir desse diagnóstico?
[Psicóloga Eliene Oliveira] Com o tratamento adequado de medicamento com psicoterapia (em especial a Terapia Cognitivo Comportamental – TCC) e um estilo de vida mais saudável, os impactos podem reduzir significativamente, contribuindo assim para uma vida mais produtiva, funcional e com menos sofrimento emocional.
